Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Burnley | apply.workable.com |
The role

We are currently looking for a Continental Shift Engineer to join our Engineering Team at our Distribution Centre in Burnley.

You will be looking after a semi-automated distribution centre, making sure we can deliver the best possible service to our customers. It is a brand new site with further development in the pipeline that will keep us busy for years to come!

Shift Pattern: Panama/Caravan Shift. The Panama shift pattern or ‘caravan shift’, uses four teams across two twelve-hour shifts. This shift pattern provides complete coverage over a 24-hour period days and nights. Boohoo engineering teams cover 24hrs one week and the following week 60hrs rotation - averaging out at 42hrs per week per team.

Your team

We started out as one brand with only three team members in 2006, today we are now made up of 13 amazing brands and counting, we have offices all over the world and we’ve grown to a 4,000+ strong team we call our boohoo family – and we don’t plan on stopping yet.
We have big ambitions, huge potential and a clear strategy to continually evolve and grow the business. It’s a seriously exciting time to join us and influence the next chapter of our success.

Our Engineering department is where we all come together to fix, maintain and keep the gears turning on our state of the art automation to deliver a fantastic and well-oiled service to our customers. We process on average 250,000 units per day!
However, at peak, we smash this record and process an astonishing average of around 600,000 units per day – that’s 417 units per minute! At times, this can be challenging but as a ‘family’, we pull it all together and enjoy the success together!
