We are seeking a talented individual to work for a family business that is a leading supplier of fresh, high-quality products.
About the QA Manager job
Key tasks:
• Assist with the ongoing implementation of the BRC standard through documentation, auditing, and management.
• Ensure that teams are maintaining correct high Quality and meeting the customer requirements of Specifications and Quality attributes.
• Lead and facilitate the introduction of new processes, methods, equipment, and the production of products, both new and existing.
• Assist with the development of documentation, process flows, SOPs, and method application, within the scope of the Quality and Food Safety Management System.
• Carry out, document, and report routine process verifications and validation exercises.
• Lead and maintain the microbiological and chemical sampling process, liaising with the external laboratory.
• Take effective action in the event of non-conformances (customer complaints, audit actions or issuing supplier NCs) to determine the root cause and reduce the risk of reoccurrence.
Skills & experience required for the QA Manager job
• Solid experience working in a QA or technical role in food manufacturing.
• Ideally educated to a degree level in food science, food safety, quality assurance or a related subject.
• A good communicator with cooperative engagement and participation skills.
• Ideally holder of qualifications including HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3.
• Highly organised, with excellent analytical and prioritisation skills.
• Experience of working with the BRC standard
• A driving licence and own transport will be needed due to the site location.

The working hours are up to 45 hours a week, Monday to Friday 7.00 am to 4.00 pm plus Saturdays (7.00 am to 12.00 pm) on a rota basis, with a day off in lieu.
