A vacancy has become available for a Band 3 Service Co-ordinator / Secretary working 15 hours per week at Royal Oldham Hospital with some possible Hybrid Remote working after training completed and competencies reached.

You will be responsible for a range of administrative and secretarial duties to support the service and Management and will be required to work as part of a team in the Interpretation Department.

You will be responsible for a range of administrative duties including the allocation of appointments, initiating 2 or 3 way telephone interpretation calls, supporting and coordinating the recruitment of bank interpreters, supporting staff with ensuring mandatory trainings are 100% compliant, supporting staff with datix incident recording and facilitating team meetings and taking minutes and preparing agendas.

You will often be the first point of contact and a focal point for the service requiring clear communication and liaison skills and will require a high degree of organisational skills and excellent working knowledge of administrative systems.
You will be responsible for managing and prioritising your own workload and will be required to use your own initiative.

You will receive appointments via the online interpreter booking system, Zipporah, email and telephone, to data input accurately those appointments and to ensure all communication is passed over to the relevant staff member. Patients calls are dealt with in accordance with the NCA Trust Values.
You will demonstrate flexibility and be able to cover a weekend shift at short notice. You will be confident in communication with clinicians and patients in a professional manner.
