HR Business Partner

The HR function is looking for a HR Business Partner to join their small team in supporting N2O's people agenda. The focus of the role will be consulting on all aspects of human resource management and organisational change for specific business areas.
You will be responsible for providing daily HR guidance, resolving complex employee relations issues, developing line manager capability, leading and supporting employee engagement initiatives and increasing the productivity and retention of staff.
This may involve acting as a HR lead on a range of different projects including the development of HR policy, processes and strategy.

Key areas of Responsibilities

Employee Engagement - Support employee engagement activities e.g. employee engagement surveys, wellbeing initiatives, employee recognition schemes, salary benchmarking exercises and annual pay review exercise.

Employee Relations - providing sound and commercial advise on all aspects of people issues, in accordance with company policy and procedures and employment law.

Policies and Procedures - Shared responsibility to review and update HR policies and procedures so that they reflect both up-to-date employment law and best practice. Provide coaching and guidance to managers to ensure Company policies are applied consistently across the business.

Learning and Development - Work with managers to identify skills gaps and provide advice on development opportunities. Contribute to the development and delivery of regular HR training workshops.

Recruitment - Support managers in the recruitment process including advising on recruitment channels, Job Descriptions, interviewing and selection. Ensure candidate information is tracked from application to decision and strive to ensure that the candidate experience is positive

Compensation / Benefits - Ensure payroll receive accurate and timely monthly payroll information including starters / leavers/ changers. Work with managers on annual merit review process and conduct salary / benefit benchmarking exercises

Professional Development - Keep up to date with employment law changes and best practice thinking that may impact on your areas of responsibility such as GDPR and ensure appropriate implementation for the HR team.

Organisational Change - Act as the HR Lead for any restructures related to your internal client group ensuring that formal consultation processes take place with all affected staff.

Administration - Support with the administration related to starter and leaver processes, internal job changes, recruitment and payroll

Requirements

Fully CIPD qualified (level 5) is advantageous

Proven experience in a similar role

Excellent ER experience with strong working knowledge of employment law

Experience of designing and delivering HR workshops / training programmes

Experience of formal report writing (policies, outcome letters).

Experience of coaching and mentoring junior members.

Experience of constructively challenging and coaching managers and leaders.

Experience of leading on organisational change projects including restructures and redundancy programmes.

Knowledgeable with hands on experience of effective recruitment practices

Open communication style and adept at relationship building

Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages.

Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.

Approachable and diplomatic; able to build relationships with staff at all levels

Driving license is advantage as may need to travel to office/ warehouse sites
