Kinetic Industrial are recruiting for Trainee Mill Operatives for a Birmingham based client. Our client is a global, process driven manufacturing company, and are a world leader in their Industry.
To be successful in this position, you must be dedicated to learning operational processes with a view to becoming a fully trained Mill Operative. During training, you will be working Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. Following this you be working a pattern of 12 hour shifts which may include nights and weekends.
The role:
• Working within a production environment
• Working on a training and development programme to gain the necessary skills and expertise
• Operating various types of machinery
• Working within the stores department
• Yard work
• General warehousing duties
• Engaging in continuous improvement culture
• Keeping up with the demands of changing technology and working practices
• Assisting with the training and development of your colleagues
• Following health and safety procedures and reporting and hazards, incidents or accidents
Requirements:
• Experience of working in a manufacturing / production environment
• Experience of working with chemicals
• FLT License
• 5 GCSE's or equivalent incl. Math's and English
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Eager to learn and progress
• Flexible - able to work nights and weekends
• Understanding of Health and Safety
