My client is an independently owned, fast-growing, dynamic company that currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of their finance department on a global basis.
Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Finance Department
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting practices and systems
• Coordinate annual audits and filings
• Approve supplier payments and journal entries
• Finalise monthly reports and reconciliations
• Execute hedging transactions and manage cash flow
• Prepare financial forecasts and statements
• Oversee VAT, Corporation Tax, and credit control
• Maintain financial records and assist with budgeting
• Manage credit insurance for customers
Requirements:
• Qualified accountant with SME experience
• Previous experience of successfully managing a competent finance team with direct reports that include full management responsibilities such as performance appraisals and regular 1:1’s
• Knowledge of international trade, ideally in the chemical industry
• IT systems implementation experience
• Strong time management and adaptability
• Financial modelling skills
• Understanding of European VAT is advantageous
Essential Skills:
• Clear communication at all levels
• Strong prioritisation and multitasking abilities
• Proven track record of running successful finance departments
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Attention to detail and process compliance
• Resilience and negotiation skills
