My global market leading client are looking to recruit an Engineering Site Manager in Preston, they can provide an excellent working environment and extensive progression opportunities.
The Role;
The Engineering Site Manager will have proven experience of dealing with maintenance engineering operations on automated equipment within an industrial environment. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Engineering Site Manager will have experience of carrying out risk assessments and will ensure that the onsite team carries out their duties within a safe environment.
The position is an office-hours based role though the Manager is expected to offer some flexibility.
Key Responsibilities;
• Engineering Site Management.
• Managing internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide efficient support to all staff members, suppliers and contractors.
• Budget Management.
• General electro-mechanical Engineering duties.
• Manage improvements and installations.
• Training management (technical and non-techncial).
• Escalating issues when necessary.
• Reactive and Planned works liaising with filed based engineering teams.
• Interact with on-site and off-site management.
• H&S Management and Risk Assessments.
• Monthly Reporting.
• Appreciation of Cultural Diversity
Skills, qualifications and experience;
• HNC/D and/or relevant engineering qualification.
• Automation / FMCG / Manufacturing experience.
• Experience of managing teams.
• Experience of lean / CI / Six Sigma preferable.
• Technically skilled and extensively experienced in both electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Customer focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literate and experienced with CMMS.
• IOSH qualification desirable.
• Strong data analytical and report development skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Team oriented.
• Deal with issues and resolve them diplomatically.
