Project Manager - construction

Looking to join a Transportation end client that will offer you a long-term future, in a fixed location with a very strong pipeline of construction projects? Seeking flexibility and hybrid working, along with a near guaranteed 20% annual bonus?

We're recruiting a Project Manager to lead on a variety of construction and fit out projects, working under the NEC form of contract. You will work across the full lifecycle in line with RIBA, stage 0 through to 7.

You will be responsible for the identification of scope, preparing budget estimations, developing project execution plans, managing project schedules, and controlling costs.

This position would suit someone from a Tier One Contractor, Client, or Consultancy background. Strong construction sector experience is essential.

Other core responsibilities will be:

Lead the development and maintenance of a culture of world class health, safety, and environmental standards
Lead the identification and mitigation of risks

Deliver to defined cost, schedule, and quality requirements, leading the successful handover to the Operations and Commercial Departments
Manage the Design execution stage, develop the project scope to satisfy the business need and support the business case, manage design and survey consultant(s) and validation that the design meets the brief, seeking safe and cost-effective design solutions to meet project requirements.

Define the asset information requirements within the Employers Information Requirements for both design and construction contracts.
Support the wider project team and CDM Advisor discharge statutory duties as a Principal Designer (where applicable).

Reviews consultants' and contractors design documents for quality and compliance

Provide input to the project programme on technical activities. Reviews contractor Construction, Design & Management (CDM), Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) submittals (including construction phase plans, risk assessments, method statements and work permits) and monitor compliance against accepted plans.

Undertake constructability reviews on designs prior to implementation.

To be successful in the role, it is thought that you will:

Be educated to Degree level or equivalent in project management, engineering, or a construction related field
Have experience as a project manager/assistant project manager on large project or multi-year programmes of works with a value typically in excess of £1m
Have basic commercial and financial awareness, including knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts

On offer is a basic salary of between 60,000 - 70,000 per annum and a generous benefits package that consists of a 20% annual bonus, 4,600 flexible benefits allowance, enhanced employer contribution pension, 25 days holiday, single cover private medical insurance, one professional subscription per year, discounted share save scheme and other flexible benefits
