Quality Engineer - Stoke on Trent.

As Quality Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that all materials delivered from a supplier are in compliance with manufacturing specifications and company standards, identifying and isolating non-conforming materials and resolving quality issues.

Responsible for coordinating quality activities within the manufacturing process, identifying and isolating non-conforming products, maintaining company quality procedures and standards and performing quality audits on products/processes to ensure compliance.

Maintaining company ISO Quality Management System, identifying areas for quality improvement and coordinating improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

 •  Ensure materials and processes are inspected according to quality standards
 •  Manage and contain non-conforming parts and processes
 •  Produce non-conformance reports
 •  Facilitate RCCA process to effective closure of non-conformance
 •  Understand/interpret manufacturing audits, including ISO 9001 and other industry standards
 •  Manage company QMS including coordinating internal and external auditing activities
 •  Manage issue-controlled company documents, specifications, procedures and drawings
 •  Assist with definition of quality standards for new and existing products and components
 •  Ensure test equipment is calibrated and working correctly
 •  Develop and improve company quality procedures
 •  Identify possible areas for improvement in business processes and procedures
 •  Provide holiday/sickness cover for other quality department functions

Requirements:

 •  Minimum HNC/Level 4 in Quality/Engineering
 •  Experience as an Inspection or Quality Technician in a manufacturing environment
 •  Experience as a Process Auditor
 •  Quality control/process improvement tools and methodologies
 •  Experience in reporting and root cause analysis
 •  Understanding of advanced mathematical concepts
 •  Ability to analyse and interpret technical information
 •  Ability to collect, analyse and interpret process data
 •  Highly developed attention to detail
 •  Strong problem-solving skills
 •  Strong organizational skills
 •  Ability to work well in a team and influence others
