We undertake the role of Main/Principal Contractor within the Water, Industrial, MOD, and Power Sectors. This includes all aspects of New Build, Refurbishment, Civil Engineering and MEICA Projects.

We require somebody with demonstrable experience in the duties required to produce accurate Operating & Maintenance manuals and upload asset data to clients’ portals for a range of plant and equipment. The candidate should also be proficient in 2D CAD and be able to update drawings as this role is supporting our design department requirements.

Working under the supervision of the Design Manager and closely with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Project Engineers in the updating and generation of process diagrams, electrical diagrams, and mechanical equipment layouts.

The candidate will ideally have the following attributes: Excellent written and spoken English skills

Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe FrameMaker or similar
Knowledge of graphic design, digital photo editing, illustration or similar
Technical writing capability and able to understand the process of product development
Ability to carry out research and analyse complex, detailed information
Ability to follow procedures and company guidelines to high standards
Excellent attention to detail, ability to fault find and correct issues in documentation
Excellent proof-reading skills
Capability to communicate on an in-depth technical level
High levels of accuracy
A good understanding of manufacturing and design practises and their processes
Excellent presentation skills
Adherence to deadlines, methodical thinking
Flexible manner to adopt new challenges and input from peers and colleagues
Self-driven for progressive and continued learning and development
Keen to accept responsibility and accountability
Committed to achieving project and company goals

Duties & Responsibilities: Concept and detailed design of new Plant and Equipment

Creation of technical specifications / documentation for the selection and development of equipment
Working to product design standards
Working to departmental design procedures
Provide internal technical product support
Produce full and detailed Operating & Maintenance Manuals for equipment, both new and existing.
Monitor all standard equipment and update the O&M Manual with any changes made to these.
Liaise with other departments to gather all information, drawings, parts lists etc required to produce the manuals.
Collate any 3rd party information required for use in manuals - operating instructions, certificates, diagrams etc.
Ensure that the manual filing structure is kept up to date and any manuals can be accessed by relevant staff as required.
Assist the project design and delivery department with other duties as required
Collecting and uploading plant and equipment Asset data to client’s portals
Project presentations

Essential Skills & Experience: Demonstrated CAD Experience

Ability to effectively present design solutions
Self-disciplined approach to achieve engineering deadlines and objectives
Problem solving, both as part of a team and individually
Strong written communication skills

Qualifications: Experience or qualification within the water industry an advantage
