Assistant Accountant - Nazeing
Morgan Fire Protection specialises in the delivery of planned and corrective maintenance of fire detection systems and portable extinguishers. While the majority of Morgan Fire’s operational resources are based around London, we provide national coverage through our reactive delivery model.
We are currently looking to appoint a new Assistant Accountant to be based out of our Head Office in Nazeing.
Basic Salary – £30,000 / £40,000 per annum

Morgan Fire Protection’s Assistant Accountant’s
Assist in all accounting functions within Finance department, maintaining a professional approach at all times.
• Month end management accounts (Board Pack updates)
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns
• Assisting with payroll and liaising with HR
• Provide detailed findings on variance analysis / financial analysis
• Processing of supplier invoices each month, matching delivery notes, entering onto Sage 200
• Process monthly supplier statements
• Compile stock Control & monthly stock takes
• Creating purchase order’s for stock requisitions across all offices
• Working alongside our credit controller to assist in debt collection / resolving disputes
• Assisting other department where the business needs are
• Using CASH (Cash for Windows)/Sage to run reports on a weekly/monthly basis to assist with month end deadlines
• Take credit card payments from customers
• Conduct bank and Credit Card reconciliations
• Any other ad hoc work as required within Accounts and other departments
Requirements
Who We’re Looking For
As well as having all the usual attributes of a great Morgan Fire Protection employee, such as; a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, well presented and professional at all times, ability to work alone and as part of a team….. For this specific opportunity, we are looking for candidates who offer:
• Previous experience within a similar Assistant Accountant position
• Knowledge of Sage 200
• Experience using CASH (Cash for windows) would be an advantage
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
• Fantastic customer focus, with the ability to resolve customer queries.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure in a deadline driven environment.
• A high degree of professionalism and resilience
• Ability to produce documents to a high specification.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to handle multiple priorities with a structure approach.
• The ability to work independently and the desire to learn.
• Experience in using Microsoft Office Package
• AAT Qualified, ACCA Part-Qualified
