Process Lead - Food Manufacturing

Astute's Power team is partnering with a large sugar production company to recruit a Process Lead for its site in Bury St Edmunds.

The Process Lead role comes with a starting salary of up to £57,700 and a progression plan to move up within 3 years.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting directly to the APU Lead you will be responsible for: Develop the people plan in conjunction with the others in the team, supporting the build of capability.

Safety leadership and developing a culture that leads to zero lost time injuries.
Analysing performance data and recommend appropriate actions to ensure continuous optimisation of service and project quality.
Provide day-to-day operational support to the Shift Performance Manager as well as wider team to achieve objectives and delivery the operational plan.
Deliver QHSE targets across business and personal objectives.
Lead the Continuous Improvement Plan and Defect Elimination processes and create action plans to maximise capability of the operations on site.
Chair and attend all operational reviews and support in the delivery of daily lean management through meetings, writing processes and visual management to promote correct actions and behaviours.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following: Experience leading a high-performing technical, manufacturing teams.

Proven experience in Continuous Improvement roles, with a focus on manufacturing excellence.
A technical qualification (i.e. HNC/HND) in a relevant subject.
A food safety certificate would be hugely beneficial.
Ideally a NEBOSH or IOSH qualification

Personal skills

The Process Lead role would suit someone who has: A proven record of effective problem solving /fault diagnosis.

Good communication and couching / influencing skills.
Ability to prioritise and organise.

Starting salary of £52,000 - £57,700
