Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in commercial contracting? My client is a Surrey-based company seeking a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join there team. With a minimum of 10 years' experience in commercial contracting and comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the role within a main contractor setting, you could be the perfect fit for this position.
Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Surrey
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of quantity surveying duties across commercial sectors.
• Manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts throughout project lifecycles.
• Conduct thorough cost analysis and risk assessments to ensure project profitability.
• Prepare and negotiate contracts, variations, and final accounts.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to monitor progress and resolve commercial issues.
• Provide expert advice on cost-saving measures and value engineering.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations.
• Mentor and support junior members of the quantity surveying team.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in commercial contracting, preferably within a main contractor environment.
• Fully conversant with all aspects of quantity surveying, including cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Thorough understanding of relevant construction contracts and legislation.
• MRICS or equivalent professional accreditation is desirable.
Salary: £45,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience
