Utilise Recruitment are currently looking for a Regional Director, within the Traffic Management Sector, on behalf of our Client; a major Highways Contractor, based out of Borehamwood.
This role will be as Regional Director of London and the South East.
Requirements of role as Regional Director
Experience in all aspects of Traffic Management and contracts
Development of existing and new clients
Liaise with Contracts / Operations Director
Exemplary relationship with clients
Introduce new ideas for business growth
Commercial awareness
Monthly Management meetings (CRM reports)
Understanding of Industry regulations
Oversees the day-to-day progress of projects through delivery.
Promotes the Company’s safety culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through personal actions and mentoring others.
Develops and maintains project budgets and timelines as required for each project to ensure overall project deliverables are met.
Communicates with key business leaders, owners and partners to provide updates on the status of projects, surface and address concerns, and plan specific actions as needed to ensure the on-time and on-budget completion of the projects; Able to effectively communicate the project’s vision and goals.

Provides strategic leadership and shares technical expertise with team members to achieve performance goals and company objectives.
Delivers ongoing feedback, direction and guidance to ensure a motivated, productive workforce.
Establishes improvement programs by assessing current processes and procedures with the goal of increasing profit while still maintaining quality.Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills Required for Regional Director role.

Proven experience in a Regional Management / Director role within Highway / Traffic Management Sector
Knowledge of regulations, technical specifications, planning, processes, procurement processes for Traffic Management.
Proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel, Project; necessary to support budgeting and overall management.

Certified in Industry & management standards

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to effectively write and present reports and information.
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships, communicate with tact and diplomacy, and influence with impact at all levels.
Demonstrated management and supervisory skills sufficient to lead, direct, evaluate, and mentor subordinate and peer employee staff.
Demonstrated skills necessary to supervise and monitor works provided by (technical) consultants, negotiate, manage and monitor construction/technical related agreements.
Demonstrated mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply & divide numbers, decimals and fractions and calculate percentages to complete financial records, budgets and other fiscal reporting information.
Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to effectively track, report, and manage multiple projects and prioritise where meeting deadlines is critical.
