Senior Civil Structural Design Engineer

We are working with an engineering design consultancy based in Manchester that now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Structural Design Engineer to join their team on either a contract (outside IR35) or permanent basis As the team is very collaborative you will be expected to attend the office 4 5 days per week
You will be involved in work on the following foundations storage tanks earthworks reinforced concrete and similar for flow enhancement works for the water industry Also Railway OLE foundations and assessments of OLE masts and other structures
Principal responsibilities
• Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements
• Produce design calculations and drawings
• Help to mentor CAD technicians and more junior designers and graduates
• Prepare design investigations reports and specifications
• Undertake work using formal processes and procedures
• Assist with estimating hours required for design packages
Key skills experience required
• At least 5 years relevant design experience in structures and or civil engineering
• Experience in either Rail Water or Highways
• Graduate or HND
• IT competent
• Experience in temporary works design structures and civil engineering (preferable)
