We have an exciting opportunity for a Canteen Assistant to become part of a close-knit team in Bury St Edmunds. Experience or interest in the field of Kitchen work is preferred for this role. Full training will be provided.
Hours: 40 hours per week working 5 days Mon to Fri from 07:00-15:30
Salary is £22,880 per annum, additional overtime paid at £16.50 per hour.
Free Car Park on site.

Key responsibilities needed are:
• Maintain a clean and well-kept canteen area for colleagues
• Support in food preparation tasks, such as cooking and serving meals

• Deliver exceptional and welcoming service in a fast-paced setting
• Maintain the availability of food and beverages during Breakfast and Lunch hours
• Properly handle and store food, adhering to strict food hygiene protocols.
• Collaborate with HR on various projects, including the coordination of themed meals and Christmas lunch.
• Showcasing an independent and resourceful work approach.
• Training will be provided for this role
What we would like from you:
• Requires a level 2 certificate in food & hygiene
• Demonstrates a keen attention to detail, as precision is crucial.
• indicates strong ability to understand and adhere to instructions, both written and verbal, while also being receptive to guidance from management.
