Role: English Teacher
Start date: September 2024
Area: Peterborough
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS Dependent on experience
Gender of entry: Mixed
Sixth form: Included

Responsibilities:
 •  Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
 •  Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
 •  Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, attainment, and behaviour of one’s students.
 •  Provide appropriate feedback on work and to foster student growth.
 •  Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
 •  Update all necessary records accurately as required and in a timely manner.
 •  Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events.
 •  Be proactive in the school community, contributing to the development of the school's curriculum and overall environment.

Requirements:
 •  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
 •  A degree in English, English Literature, or a closely related field.
 •  Proven UK experience in teaching English at secondary school level, including preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
 •  Strong knowledge of the current curriculum and assessment frameworks.
 •  Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
 •  Ability to create a motivating and safe learning environment.
 •  Strong organizational and time-management skills.
 •  A commitment to continuous professional development.
