Runna | England | Full-time | apply.workable.com |
We're putting together a talented team to build the #1 training platform for Runners

We help everyday runners become outstanding by providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you're improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon. To date we have built iOS, Android and Apple watch apps that help people achieve their goals by coaching them through the full journey and syncing to their favourite fitness devices.

We’re growing extremely fast and in November 2023 closed a new £5M funding round led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex and Creator Ventures. We want to grow as fast as we can into the future and are looking for individuals who will help us get there.
For more about our background and growth check out our Careers Page!

We’re now looking ahead to the future and the people that want to help us build and scale Runna. Our aim is to reach millions of subscribers in the next 5 years and be the go-to training platform for any runner. Now is a magical time to join, we're still small, and everyone makes a foundational difference.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for an exceptional, analytical and results-driven Performance Marketing Manager/ Lead who will play a pivotal role in taking user acquisition to the next level at Runna. You will take full ownership of our paid media channels; this includes working closely with the Growth Lead & our performance marketing agency to develop the paid media strategy, as well as overseeing campaign management and optimisation.

If you’re someone who has built up a wealth of performance marketing experience in the B2C mobile subscription app space, either at an agency or in-house, we want to hear from you!

As Performance Marketing Manager/ Lead, your role will include:

 •  Owning our multi-channel paid media strategy (Meta, TikTok etc), managing our 6-figure budget to acquire the right users efficiently and at scale.
 •  Taking full responsibility for the management of our media agency & delivery against the paid media strategy, ensuring optimal campaign performance to maximise ROI.
 •  Relentlessly conducting systematic testing & iteration to identify the creatives and strategies that will drive growth at Runna.
 •  Managing all conversion tracking & reporting (including web-to-app) to make data-driven decisions & provide visibility of performance to the wider team.
 •  Identifying new channels and expansion opportunities to support in reaching our ambitious growth targets.
 •  Collaborating with our Performance Marketing Designers in the production of a best-in-class creative strategy that stops millions of thumbs worldwide.

Requirements

If you don’t quite meet all of the below skills, we’d still love to hear from you as we might be able to tweak the role slightly or offer you a position better suited for you. You can apply directly below or contact us if you’re still unsure.

Your key skills:

 •  2+ years experience managing a multi-channel performance marketing strategy
 •  Specific expertise with user acquisition for a B2C subscription-based mobile app is essential

 •  You have a thorough understanding of all regulations and best practices associated with digital marketing (e.g. SKAN, Google Consent Mode, Sandbox privacy policy requirements).
 •  Bonus points if you have specific experience in the health & wellness vertical.

About you:

 •  You immerse yourself in UA, keeping up to date with the latest trends, tools and opportunities that can take performance marketing to the next level
 •  You’re a “doer”; not just a “thinker”. You’re hands on and want to roll up your sleeves / get stuck in
 •  You are data and results-driven. You love to test, learn, iterate and repeat. You’re motivated by seeing the quantifiable impact of the team’s work
 •  You’re a problem-solver with a strategic mind
 •  You’re organised, efficient, and can execute at pace
 •  You (hopefully!) love running and you’re passionate about our mission to make running training effective, easy and enjoyable for everyone
 •  You’re London based (or able to work in person 2+ days per week)
