A growing business operating in the construction sector is looking to add a Financial Controller to their team. Whilst working as part of a small finance function you will ensure the provision of providing quality and timely management information to pillar management and group finance function.
The role in more detail will include:
Oversee month end procedures in an accurate and timely manner, including journal preparation and balance sheet reconciliation
Coordinate and support contract budgeting and forecasting
Ensure full VAT, CIS, PAYE compliance
Assist in the coordination and completion of audit requirements
Support Tenders & Business plans when required
Ensuring the systems and processes are fit for purposes and continually reviewed and improved
Ensuring the correct IT set-up of new projects and employees
Overhead reporting
Payroll and Pension support
The successful applicant will be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with all accounting experience within the construction / engineering sector, with an understanding of a project driven business. You will have both a strong technical background but also a keen commercial awareness.
You will oversee a small team and possess strong IT skills including a high degree of Microsoft Excel competence. The role allows for a degree of hybrid working and has excellent benefits
