Health & Safety Manager

Our client is a family-owned housebuilder who specialise on building quality family homes in the west central belt of Scotland. They are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager to join their team on a part-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based in Glasgow and will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

 •  Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and systems
 •  Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to minimize risks
 •  Working with the design & technical team on pre-construction stage developments
 •  Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation
 •  Provide health and safety advice and guidance to employees and managers
 •  Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement corrective actions
 •  Deliver health and safety training to employees and managers
 •  Liaise with external health and safety bodies and regulatory authorities
 •  Ensure that all health and safety records are maintained and up-to-date

Requirements:

 •  Relevant health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH
 •  Experience in housing health and safety
 •  Experience in developing and implementing health and safety policies, procedures, and systems
 •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
 •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 •  Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation
