We are seeking a skilled and experienced Joiner to join our team in Gainsborough, UK for a temporary full-time position. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in specifying and managing building electrical and mechanical works for various term and main contractors.
The primary responsibilities of the Joiner will include constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools.
Key Responsibilities:
• Specify and manage building electrical and mechanical works for a range of term and main contractors.
• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
• Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients.
• Select and order lumber and other required materials.
• Inspect work progress to ensure compliance with building codes, specifications, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in specifying and managing building electrical and mechanical works.
• Proficiency in using carpenter's hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• UK full driving license.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification or apprenticeship in joinery or carpentry.
• Previous experience working in a construction environment.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
Note: This is a temporary full-time position starting on 29/04/2024 and ending on 20/06/2024. The working hours are from 08:30 to 17:30
