A leading OEM company with an international presence, specialising in heavy plant and earthmoving equipment. The workshop in Biggleswade serves as a hub for repairs and maintenance, ensuring the reliability and performance of machinery worldwide.
Role Overview: As the workshop engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day repairs in the workshop in Biggleswade. You will be part of a team of skilled technicians, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to safety protocols, and high-quality repairs.
Your role will be pivotal in maintaining equipment's reliability and supporting customers' needs globally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Repair, overhaul, diagnostics and servicing of machinery.
• Pre Delivery Inspections of machines.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to maintain operational efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed.
• Liaise with other departments to coordinate repair schedules and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inventory, and maintenance activities.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in a heavy plant or earthmoving equipment repairs workshop.
• Strong technical knowledge of machinery and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field are desirable.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
