We are looking for an experienced, organised and adaptable person to be based on a busy ward at Larkwood ward, St Aubyn centre young person’s mental health unit. You should be able to multi task, deal with patients who may be aggressive and be able to stay calm in difficult situations.

Some of the main responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to; answering calls via phone, monitoring an email account for work and processing messages appropriately, completing daily and weekly bed statements, admissions and discharges, ordering, booking appointments and transport, updating clinical systems, covering receptions/other wards and general administrative duties.
To be able to use Microsoft packages is essential. full training will be given for our data base system

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.

All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

If you are joining our Trust in a fixed term role, please indicate on your New Starter Paperwork that you wish to join our staff bank.
