Contracts Manager – Reading (Hybrid Working Options)

J3A Recruitment are proud and excited to be supporting a Tier 1 Contractor who have already been highly successful on AMP 7 with a view of continuing this through AMP 8.

Due to a healthy workload, they are now looking at hiring several Contracts Managers to work on cradle to the grave projects and support the business in reaching their end goals.
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing a number of project teams and play a pivotal role with client & customer relations, QHSE, programme management and overall responsibility for all cost & value of these projects.

What you will be doing
 •  Assist with the establishment and delivery of the objectives and targets contained within the Annual Business Unit Business Plan
 •  Maintaining effective and long-term relationships with internal and external customers
 •  Implementing and maintaining the companies Strategy and Policies for Sustainability, Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, Training and Development
 •  Ability to prioritise and meet pre-defined deadlines; Ensuring the project teams comply with the Companies Business Management System;
 •  Being proactive in the identification and resolution of problems
 •  Reviewing methods of working, alternative materials etc in order to maximise commercial profitability; Managing, monitoring, supporting, mentoring and counselling members of the project teams in their personal development
 •  Undertaking annual appraisal for staff directly reporting to the role
 •  Direct supervision of project teams which will include project and site managers, engineers, quantity surveyors and foremen
What we will need from you
 •  Experience in a similar Contract Management role for a main contractor (desirable)
 •  Previous experience in running projects within the Water Industry is a MUST
 •  Degree (or equivalent) in appropriate construction related subject (desirable)
 •  Professional Qualification e.g. CIOB (desirable)
 •  CITB Level 3 Safety Course (essential)
 •  Appropriate CSCS Card (essential)
 •  High level of leadership and management skills
 •  High level of Commercial and Financial ability
 •  High level of leadership and management skills (essential);
 •  Technical experience and knowledge (essential);
 •  High level of Commercial and Financial ability (essential);
