With a steadfast commitment to quality, service, and customized solutions, they collaborate with OEMs and aircraft operators globally to address their most challenging needs.
Their UK division is dedicated to designing, developing, and manufacturing a diverse product range, including make-to-print electronics, digital electronic motor controllers, and full electro-mechanical actuators for aerospace applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide robust leadership to the electronics team, emphasizing quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to schedules.
• Implement and ensure compliance with design and development processes in accordance with industry standards.
• Mentor and oversee the electronics team, fostering a culture of excellence in both quality and technical expertise.
• Lead failure investigations, root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions, utilizing methodologies such as 8D and A3.
• Take a lead role in the development of the electronics and software aspects of new electro-mechanical actuators, ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Lead technical input for responses to RFI/RFP requests from customers.
• Contribute actively to the EMA product strategy by staying informed about market trends and customer needs.
• Drive talent selection and recruitment for the electronics team, building a strong internal and external network to support business needs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the function and the team.
Qualifications:
• Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of aerospace/defence experience in designing and developing complex electronics, software, and actuation control systems.
• Ideally, experience in electro-mechanical actuation products.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• UK driving licence holder.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Position Details
• Travel to and working at other company and customer locations worldwide may be required.
• 37 hours a week; flexibility will be required. Competitive Salary
