Your primary responsibilities will include implementing fire safety protocols, conducting inspections, and providing training to staff members on fire safety procedures.
In this role, you will work closely with our facilities management team to identify potential fire hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them. You will also be responsible for organizing and conducting fire drills to test our emergency response procedures.
Additionally, you will collaborate with local fire authorities to ensure compliance with all fire safety regulations.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in fire safety and emergency response. You should possess excellent communication and leadership skills, as you will be responsible for educating and training staff members on fire safety practices.
Attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are also essential qualities for this role.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of the organization's premises to identify and address fire hazards
Develop and implement fire safety protocols and procedures
Provide training to staff members on fire safety practices and emergency response procedures
Collaborate with facilities management to ensure proper maintenance of fire safety equipment
Organize and conduct fire drills to test emergency response capabilities
Investigate and document any fires or accidents that occur on the premises
Liaise with local fire authorities to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in fire safety engineering or a related field
Proven experience working as a Fire Safety Officer or in a similar role
In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations and protocols
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Ability to remain calm and think clearly in high-pressure situations
Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility
Certification in fire safety and emergency response procedures is preferred
Hours Per week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £20.00
Location: Swindon, Wiltshire
