We are recruiting for an experienced Marketing and Events Officer within the Further Education sector. The vacancy is initially on an interim basis for a 3-month contract with the opportunity to express interest in the permanent post.

Location of the role will be based in Nuneaton, with the flexibility to travel to other 6 sites around Warwickshire and South Leicestershire.

As a Marketing and Events Officer, your main responsibilities will be:

 •  To lead on the delivery of operational and tactical events
 •  Working with departments to identify events required and plan annual calendar with defined outcomes
 •  Organise, deliver and evaluate internal and external events and activities designed to raise awareness of the organisation and maximise student recruitment
 •  Planning and negotiation with 3rd party suppliers
 •  Manage promotions of the events, liaising with Market Leads and Team Leader
 •  Managing the events budget
 •  Manage post-event evaluation, update on performance of event and assessment against objectives and cost
 •  Manage delivery of all events including conferences, exhibitions, seminars and virtual events
 •  Promote events best practice, using events expertise and marketing knowledge to recommend the most appropriate use of resources
 •  Identify any key personal required to support event and ensue that they are briefed appropriately by the event owner. If Chief Executive is required to do a speech, book time in diary and provide a detailed brief to the speech writer
 •  To support the wider team with a range of marketing activity as required, including but not limited to events support, course-specific campaigns, creation of print assets, PR and Film opportunities etc

Skills and experience required for the role:

 •  Marketing experience
 •  Experience in event management
 •  Project management experience
 •  Excellent communication and written skills
 •  Building rapport with both internal and external stakeholders
 •  IT literate
 •  Previously used HTML, Java, Analytical tools
 •  Customer Service

Hours/Pay rate:

Full time 37.5 hours a week with open discussions of working hybrid.
Please note you will be required to work the occasional weekend/evenings to support with events.
