Leading organisation in the railway electrification sector requires a Health and Safety Advisor / HSQE Advisor / SHEQ Advisor to work on projects in the East Midlands area, specifically around Leicester and Derby.
This opportunity is available on either a contract or permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
• Promote Health, Safety, Quality and Environment (HSQE) and operational safety leadership for all teams
• Provide accurate data regarding the above to business leaders
• Promote company SHEQ procedures, evaluate staff competencies and ensure provision of appropriate training
• Help SHEQ Manager to ensure environmental and safety risks are kept as low as possible
• Ensure compliance with all standards and legislation governing the industry
• Identify and subsequently implement workable initiatives for improvement
• When required, carry out investigations, make recommendations for lessons learned and ensure their implementation
• Promote the company's behavioural safety and safety culture change operations
Requirements:
• Background as a SHEQ Advisor / HSQE Advisor / Health & Safety Advisor in the rail, civils or construction industries
• Driving licence and willingness to travel
• NEBOSH Certificate / IOSH Certificate
• PTS
• Willingness to work nights / weekend shifts when necessary
