We are proud to be working with a not-for-profit organisation who are currently in need of a Registered Manager for a ‘Good’ rated children’s home in Newark-on-Trent.

You would be joining a settled home and workforce, so this would be an ideal opportunity for an experienced manager who is ready for fresh challenge and wanting to make a real difference to children’s lives.

JOB TITLE: Registered Manager
LOCATION: Newark-on-Trent
SALARY: up to £51k (dependent on experience) + £12k bonus + generous annual leave

This company aim to put the needs of the children above everything else. They adopt a full trauma-informed therapeutic care approach and work in conjunction with a team of Forensic Psychologists. They believe that every child should have the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can become.

Brief Overview:

 •  Day-to-day running of the home, ensuring that the needs of children and young people are met.
 •  Leading a team of staff encouraging excellence in practice and staff development, enabling team members to reach their full potential.
 •  Delivering therapeutic care with an in-house trauma informed intervention model working alongside a team of Forensic Psychologists.
 •  Meet Quality Standards and achieve the desired outcomes for young people and children in the homes.
 •  Working as part of a broader Childrens Residential Services Management Team that supports one another to shape the future of the service.
 •  Ensuring timely placements are coordinated thoroughly to provide a smooth transition for the young person and staff team.
 •  Supporting the development of the organisational values - Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

Requirements:

 •  Management experience within a residential children’s home
 •  Experience of working in a therapeutic care environment
 •  Previous (and positive) dealings with Ofsted
 •  Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards)
 •  Personable and compassionate approach to working with children and staff
