Protea Recruitment is working with a well-known Food Manufacturer near Glasgow, which is looking for a Quality Manager to join their team. Our client has experienced impressive growth over the past few years, and produces an extensive range of products, supplying to major retailers.
Job Title: Quality Manager
Sector: Food Manufacturing
Salary: Up to £40k
Shift: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30
Minimum Requirements:
• Quality Management Food Manufacturing experience is essential
• Experience working with companies that have supplied major retailers
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems
The Role: Please note that all qualifying candidates will receive a more detailed job description
• Manage both QA and Hygiene teams to ensure all quality and food safety checks are carried out in accordance to procedures, as well as ordering hygiene products.
• Manage training and development programs to ensure all employees are well-versed in all systems (QMS Procedures)
• Maintain site management systems, procedures, and protocols, in support of the Technical Manager, to ensure that production activities remain in line with legislative requirements.
• Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor QMS effectiveness and drive improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and participate in external audits by regulatory agencies or third-party auditors.
