Our client is looking for an experienced Gas Engineer to join their expanding team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established property development company based in Northumberland.
Job description:
• To carry out repairs and installation of gas appliances in residential settings.
• To ensure adherence to and monitor health and safety procedures and documentation in compliance with current health and safety policy and legislation.
• To carry out statutory testing on residential properties.
• Requisition materials in a timely manner.
• To ensure Method Statements / Risk Assessments are followed for all activities.
• Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and that work area is tidy before leaving.
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate key skills and experience in the following key areas:
• Experience of working on planned maintenance and reactive emergency works within the residential sector (including occupied homes and voids)
• Working knowledge of gas safety including fault-finding and diagnostics on existing systems.
• Installation of new systems, including boilers and cookers.
• Ability to uphold safety guidelines and complying with relevant codes and regulations.
• A professional and flexible approach to your working day.
• Take full responsibility for gas safety and Health & Safety issues, whilst lone working.
• Be able to use a PDA.
• Have great communication and customer service skills.
• Show clear and logical decision-making skills.
• Be qualified to CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1.
• A full UK driving licence (company van and uniform provided).
