Position: Year 2 Teaching Assistant (General) Location: Wakefield (WF8) Salary: £84 - £90 per day Start Date: September

Role Description: As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant (General), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the classroom teacher and facilitating the learning and development of Year 2 students. You will work closely with the teaching team to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

 •  Assisting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
 •  Providing one-to-one and small group support to students, including those with additional needs
 •  Promoting positive behavior management strategies and fostering a culture of respect and cooperation
 •  Assisting with classroom organization and resource preparation
 •  Building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support the holistic development of each child

Requirements:

 •  Relevant experience working with primary-aged students, particularly in Year 2 (desirable)
 •  A passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey
 •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills
 •  Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
 •  Enhanced DBS Disclosure (or willingness to obtain one)
