Job Summary:
• To lead, plan, develop and deliver an expert professional service within the Quality Assurance Service.
• To support the development, management, and delivery of an independent reviewing service to children looked after and their families.
• To build and maintain relationships with key partners to improve outcomes for children. To ensure the Council maximises service outcomes in relation to cost.
Key Duties/Accountabilities:
• Plan and ensure service delivery within a complex / diverse service area. Control operational activities within the service area and ensure professional standards are delivered.
• Management of the children looked after process and quality assurance of care planning and safeguarding of children and young people in care.
• The involvement of children and families as well as the people that support them.
• To provide professional leadership for staff within children’s social care.
• Make positive contributions to training, practice development and awareness of permanence and care planning issues.
Essential Experience Required:
• Experience of managing and supervising complex children and family’s social work.
• Experience of writing complex children and family’s assessments and care plans.
• Experience of presenting information and reports to senior leadership team.
Essential Qualifications Required:
• Registration with Social Work England.
• CQSW, DIPSW, CSS.
• Accreditation as Social Work Practice Educator or Assessor.
• Use of relevant in-service or post qualification training, particularly related to children who are looked after and Information Technology courses.
