About the Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate interested in a permanent, customer facing role – you will be required to demonstrate excellent commitment to customer service, and have a flexible, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude to your work.
You will be the sort of person who can deliver to tight deadlines and work equally well as a team member or on your own.
A geographical knowledge of the Edinburgh area and a clean driving licence would be beneficial – ideally you would also have experience driving 3.5T vehicles.

Main tasks and activities
Safely operate vehicle and manage workload to complete all collections on time.
Record collection data on handheld mobile technology.
Establish rapport with clients in an open and engaging manner, maintaining courteous and positive disposition at all times.
Identify opportunities to deliver additional services.
Communicate effectively on a day to day basis, understand agreed service levels and ensure these are upheld.
Support other team members as directed by line manager.
Experience
Commitment to customer service and safe working practices
Previous experience of driving 3.5t vehicles is advantageous
Familiarity with local roads and routes is beneficial
Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
Requirements
Valid driver licence with a clean driving record
Must be able to pass a background check and health screening
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate collection records
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet agreed service levels
Salary and benefits
Starting salary based on the Real Living Wage (£12 per hour)
Enrolment into our HGV apprenticeship, with opportunity for salary progression
Performance based cash incentives
