Teaching Assistant (SEN) - Rochdale
As a Teaching Assistant with a focus on supporting children with Special Educational Needs, you truly make an enormous difference to children's lives on a daily basis.
Do you have a desire to make a truly rewarding impact and transform the lives of children with SEN by helping them to reach their full potential?
As a Teaching Assistant at a welcoming primary school in Rochdale, we require you to provide focused support for a pupil with Autism in Reception.
The school would require you to start ASAP on a full-time basis; working from 8.30am-3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

• You will help to keep children safe by supporting the safeguarding of children and encouraging positive behaviour through agreed behaviour management strategies
• You will provide care and encouragement to pupils while supporting the teacher in the delivery and evaluation of learning activities
• The ability to remove barriers to learning and provide mentoring support to children.
Who this role would suit
• A qualified Teaching Assistant with knowledge of SEN or supporting challenging behaviour
• Someone with a background in Residential Support, Social Work, Mental Health Support or with similar transferrable skills
• Psychology, Counselling, or Psychotherapy degree graduates (other Mental Health-related qualifications are considered)
• Individuals with knowledge and/or experience of supporting children, young people or adults with any form of additional need; either professionally or personally.
