Consultant in Public Health
We are seeking to appoint two Consultants in Public Health / Consultants in Public Health Medicine to join our recently established Public Health team. These roles, alongside the Service Manager Health and Wellbeing Team, form the Public Health management team and work closely with service managers within the directorate and across the authority.
These are full time posts, working across the Council, community and wider partners to improve and protect the health and wellbeing of our communities and address inequality. You will have the opportunity to shape, influence and lead key areas of work within the Council Plan and our emerging Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy.As well as delivering the Councils statutory duties, you will be responsible for shaping and commissioning significant strategic programmes and services and working with our local communities and partners to lead and enable change.
You will have the opportunities to shape and develop our priorities and ways of working as a team, working as part of a Council that is committed to placing people at the centre of everything we do and to enabling our residents to lead healthy, happy lives.
