Group Financial Accountant

Hugely successful business based in Leeds currently require a Group Financial Accountant join their team. Working in a well -established business, with continuous development at the heart of what they do; you will be involved in a variety of duties.

The role is for a Group Financial Accountant - offering an excellent all round finance opportunity, with varied responsibility and lots of progression opportunities available.

Reporting Directly into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

 •  Producing reconciled monthly and year-end accounts in accordance with agreed timetables
 •  Central finance tasks/projects e.g. vehicle leasing, utilities, Capex analysis etc.
 •  Provide strong technical accounting input both in terms of IFRS and FRS102
 •  To assist with quarterly external IFRS SAP reporting forming the basis of the published; audited financial statements
 •  To support and develop reporting systems to assist local management, and to streamline and standardise reporting
 •  Coordinating with auditors (both internal and external)
 •  Preparation of annual statutory accounts, and assistance with external auditors
 •  Production of financial data and reports to agreed timetables
 •  Work with depot and commercial teams to enhance profitability of the business
 •  To ensure that the systems operate adequately to protect the division's financial and administrative integrity
 •  Advance and develop all procedures and systems

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below experience:

 •  ACCA/ACA qualified with previous strong experiences within the finance function.
 •  Strong Excel skills
 •  Ability to adapt and pick up projects on an ad hoc basis.
