Elevation Recruitment Group, Business Support Division are working with a leading manufacturing company based in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire. As part of ongoing growth, we are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join their procurement team.
As a Purchasing Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting our procurement activities. You will be responsible for the following;
Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently using our procurement system.
Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, including pricing, delivery dates, and vendor information.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to ensure adequate stock levels.
Assist in the evaluation and selection of suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Resolve any discrepancies or issues with orders, invoices, or deliveries in a timely manner.
Support the procurement team in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
Generate reports and analyse data to track purchasing trends and performance metrics.
Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and production, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with organisational goals.
Requirements for the role:
Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Knowledge of procurement processes and principles.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
