DK Recruitment are really excited to be working with an innovative business based in Totnes who are searching for a Financial Accountant to join their team. In upholding the integrity and accuracy of the team you will be expected to provide strategic aims through positive financial solutions and support the Financial Controller when needed.
The role will be responsible for a wide range of financial operations and processes. The role supports the Financial Controller in the complex monthly routines, financial process development and accurate presentation of figures and reporting on.
Responsibilities:
Operational duties and responsibilities
• Finalise the monthly management accounting process to production of consolidated group P&L and Balance Sheet, examining for discrepancies.
• Support CFO in reporting against projects, cost budgets and business units, and provide other ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
• Work with Financial Controller to fulfil audit requirements and preparation of statutory accounts.
• Ownership of complex monthly accounting routines including:
• * Channel cost allocations, accruals, and prepayments for budgets.
• Internal cost accounting and reporting
• Support the Financial Controller in day-to-day financial operations, providing cover for other ream member duties where necessary.

• Creates and maintains a positive working environment at all times, with a polite, honest and friendly approach.
• To be conscious and committed towards the environment, local community and the companies wish to be Eco friendly and ethical in how we operate.
Profile:
• ACCA part or recently qualified with in practice experience
• Understanding of import and export compliance desirable but not essential
• Have a can-do attitude, be open minded and flexible in approach.
• Able to accept constructive feedback in a positive way.
