Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our construction company. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, preferably within the construction industry, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial success of our projects while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of the company's financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.
• Monitor cash flow and liquidity, optimizing financial resources for project needs.
• Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost tracking and billing.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Sage or QuickBooks is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
