Job Description: As a Water Hygiene Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of water systems, identifying potential risks, and implementing effective control measures to ensure compliance with legionella regulations and other relevant standards.
You will work closely with clients to provide expert advice and guidance on water hygiene best practices, helping them to maintain safe and healthy environments for their employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conducting risk assessments of water systems, including hot and cold-water services, cooling towers, and other water-containing assets.
• Identifying and evaluating potential sources of contamination, including legionella bacteria.
• Developing and implementing robust control measures to minimize the risk of waterborne diseases and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Providing technical support and guidance to clients on water hygiene management, including the maintenance of appropriate records and documentation.
• Conducting regular inspections and audits of water systems to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of water hygiene awareness and compliance.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in water hygiene risk assessment, preferably within an industrial or commercial environment.
• In-depth knowledge of legionella regulations and guidelines, including ACOP L8 and HSG 274.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
• Relevant qualifications in water hygiene management or a related field (e.g., City & Guilds Legionella Control qualification).
• Full driving license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
