Atrium Healthcare is currently recruiting on behalf of a client for the position of Deputy Manager to assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a children's home. This role involves ensuring clear and effective procedures for monitoring and controlling home activities, maintaining financial viability, managing serious incidents or complaints, and upholding the quality of care provided.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate the day-to-day management, monitoring, and supervision of staff in a professional manner.
• Promote professionalism and standards among the team in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Deploy staff on duty effectively to ensure smooth operation of the unit.
• Participate in informative and productive staff meetings, ensuring actions are documented.
• Contribute to staff induction processes.
• Report any malpractice or suspicions to appropriate management or regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent).
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Full UK Driving License.
Experience:
• Experience in child protection and supervising staff.
• Ideally, at least 3 years of experience working with children and young people.
• Minimum of 1 year's experience in a senior role with children and young people (essential).
