Main Purpose
Operating from our Hampshire offices, you will be responsible for the UK Service & Technical commercial business, which includes:
Field Service Operations
Technical Support
Quality & Continual improvement
Product TrainingObjectives of ensuring product safety, minimising costs, and improving the customer's experience. Ensuring those who encounter our products are provided with the sufficient knowledge & support to install, service repair and use the products we deliver.
Responsibilities
Full responsibility for the UK Technical Services, Field Failure / Warranty Budget. and Product Training
Leadership & Management of Technical Support Operations, Technical Services, Field Service, and the Training Team
Manage continual evaluation & improvement process to improve quality, cost reduction, product safety, customer satisfaction, Managing the performance of the department and management through effective key performance indicators, targets, and goal settings.
Ensure compliance with standards for SHEQ including lead manager for product recalls.
Attend Business Review Meetings with UK management as required.
Your Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Experience in a Senior Management role including responsibility for management of an entire function or site and full P&L responsibility.
Electrical Engineering background with supporting qualifications & experience ideally in mechanical engineering, heating or refrigeration technology
Fully conversant with both the Distribution, Contracting and Service/Warranty operational models.
Experience with operating within an SAP systems environment.
Well-developed analytical skills including budgeting, financial reporting, and management of variances.
Proven negotiation skills, with both internal and external customers and suppliers.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and project management skills.
Knowledge of continuous improvement processes and techniques.
Knowledge of Health & Safety practices, procedures, and regulations.
A demonstrable, positive attitude that is distilled into the full team ethos, creating a positive and driven set of individuals who are working as one team, that achieve and exceed the targets set.
A team leader who by example demonstrates an abundance of energy, passion, and drive.
Installing confidence within the team, by clearly explaining the challenges, breaking them down individually and setting clear plans to achieve success.
A focused and robust individual, who is capable of organising and communicating activities often in a pressurised environment and who is able to meet challenging and tight deadlines.
Team player who can support other Directors and Head of Departments in meetings with existing and new clients.
CRM system use and understanding, along with good IT Skills is an essential requirement.
