Key Responsibilities:
• Representing clients held at police stations
• Managing a caseload of criminal defense cases across various offenses
• Advocacy in Magistrates' Court, including summary trials (and Crown Court hearings if the candidate has Higher Rights)
The Ideal Candidate:
• Solicitors with at least 1 year's PQE in criminal law
• Crime duty accreditation preferred, but not mandatory
• Strong communication and advocacy skills
• Proficiency in IT
• Ability to handle a demanding workload independently and within a team.
• Passion for publicly funded work
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong client and team building abilities.
