NELFT are delighted to offer a number of opportunities to join a growing and dynamic Specialist Tier 4 and community crisis service in Kent, working across: Adolescent Inpatient, Community Re-integration supportive discharge service, Intensive Home Treatment Service, the Crisis Overnight Stay Service.Working together with the provider collaborative, local commissioners, and in-line with national drivers, we deliver high quality care in hospital and at home, to provide what young people need, at the right time, and in the right place.

This assistant psychologist post is a full time position sitting in the intensive home treatment part of the pathway. You will work closely with a fully skilled and highly specialist MDT mainly in the community with some in reach into our local inpatient unit.
The post covers Kent and Medway.

This post would be attractive for somebody who is passionate about young people’s mental health and is excited and motivated by the opportunityto develop a centre of excellence.. You will be joining a well-established, skilled, multi-disciplinary team, including: nursing, psychiatry, OT, psychology, art and music therapists, family therapists, child and adolescent psychotherapist, dietitian, social worker, assistant psychologists, support workers, DBT therapists, horticultural therapy, exercise therapist, etc.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.
As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
