Our esteemed teaching agency is seeking compassionate individuals like you to join our team as a PRU Teaching Assistant in a nurturing special needs school.

At Teaching Personnel, we believe in the importance of education that encompasses the social, emotional, and mental well-being of every student. We are committed to providing exceptional support to children with special needs, fostering an inclusive and empowering learning environment.

What We Offer:

£12.90 per hour/ £83.85 per day
Monday – Friday
  8.  30am-3.30pm working hours

What Does the Job entail?

Collaborating with the teaching team to create a safe and nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive mental health and emotional well-being.
Providing one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them develop coping strategies, manage anxiety, and build resilience.
Assisting students in accessing educational materials, facilitating their participation in classroom activities, and promoting engagement and interaction.
Encouraging the development of social skills, emotional regulation, and self-esteem.
Documenting and reporting observations of student progress, behaviour, and well-being to the teaching team.

Requirements:

A genuine passion for supporting the mental health and well-being of students with special needs.
Experience working with individuals who have mental health challenges (previous experience in a school or mental health setting is preferred).
Empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
An understanding of safeguarding practices and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
