Job Description

Technical Services Specialist required for our client based in Wakefield city centre and who are a supplier of asset and maintenance management software.
As Technical Services Specialist, you are responsible for the deployment, configuration and technical support/troubleshooting of applications.
The Technical Operations team are responsible for delivering Technical Services. You will work closely with the Professional Services, Product and Development teams across the globe to manage and complete technical service delivery.
Work with various teams across the business to streamline and automate delivery processes.
Take ownership of the automated upgrade delivery programme for our hosted Cloud platforms.
Provide support and assistance to our Customer Support teams to identify and resolve technical issues following deployment/upgrade.
Perform UAT to Production database migrations.
Assist the Professional Services teams with ad-hoc data migrations and data import/export routines.
Work with other members of the Technical Operations team to deliver projects to support growth and development of the business.
Maintain documentation relevant to your role in order to maintain quality and compliance for ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 for the Technical Operations team.
Provide cover for internal IT support as and when required.

 •  PowerShell/Bash scripting
 •  Octopus Deploy (or similar)
 •  Azure DevOps CI/CD Pipelines (preferred but not essential)
 •  Incident Management
 •  IT Change Control
 •  Networking configuration (IP addressing, DNS, load balancing and firewalls)
 •  Technical troubleshooting and problem solving
 •  Methodical approach to process design and documentation
 •  At least 2 years in an equivalent role

Hours of work: 37.5 per week, hybrid working (2 days per week in the office). Potential for out of normal business hours working (not expected to be regular occurrence) and flexible working is offered to support this eventuality.
Package: £40 - £45k (DOE). Pension scheme, life assurance, AXA Healthcare Scheme (optional) Annual bonus scheme (5% of annual salary, company performance dependent and after first full calendar year in employment)
