Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at the Newcastle site. The role involves the maintenance and repair of a variety of vehicles and equipment, including HGV's, tractors, cherry pickers, and forklift trucks. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGV's, tractors, cherry pickers, and forklift trucks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Carry out inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Complete service records and documentation accurately.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve operational goals.
Requirements:
• NVQ Level 2 qualification or above in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in maintaining HGV's, tractors, or plant equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime when required.
