As the successful CNC Grinder, you will be responsible for the programming, setup and precision machining of parts in accordance with a production schedule, performing machine maintenance, programming and the general organisation and housekeeping of the area.
Being diligent, skilled, and organised, having a sound understanding of CNC Grinding, producing precision machined parts to exacting tolerances.
Duties:
• Program, Setup and operate CNC Grinding machines.
• Produce components to drawing specifications and required quality standards to exacting tolerances.
• Self-Inspect parts / components.
• Maintain machines, tooling, and good housekeeping always.
• Organise area & tooling to maximise productivity.
• Operate plant equipment to procedure and health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain all health and safety disciplines.
• Willingness to participate in continuous improvement activities across the business.
• Assist in problem solving when issues arise.
• To be flexible in a small team orientated environment.
• Program parts from drawings directly.
• Experience of CNC Grinding is a must.
Hours of Work:
• 39 hours per week
• 07.00 to 15.30 Monday to Thursday, 07.00 to 12 noon on Friday
• £16.00 to £18.00 p/hr
• Lots of overtime available, paid at x1.5hrs
