Senior Accounts Administrator

A leading specialist company in the installation of electronic security, AV and home automation systems is now looking for a Senior Accounts Administrator to manage company’s finance department.
The company has been established for 25+ years. They are an innovative installation company specialising in the exciting and fast-moving field of smart home automation and smart home security encompassing CCTV, door entry, access control and related disciplines.
You will be responsible for encompassing, reviewing and reconciling accounts, and taking up tasks related to bookkeeping. In addition to this, you will have to carry out accounting work related to taxes. You will also have to process payments to external partners and maintain updated records of invoices.
The Role and Responsibilities
• Maintain and update the status of accounts receivables and payables daily
• Reconcile all bank accounts, credit cards and resolve all issues in processing the financial statements
• Card payment reconciliation; including petty cash
• Maintain efficient client services and provide support to administration staff
• Responsible to receive and verify bills and requisitions for goods and services
• Prepare and file quarterly VAT returns
• Prepare, send and store the record of invoices and applications on time
• Contact clients to update them about outstanding balance payments and keep a record
• Prepare monthly CIS runs
• Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets
• Provide the year end files to the accountant to help them prepare the accounts and tax returns
• Evaluate all agreements and invoices and organize customer contracts
• Set up new credit accounts
• Analyse the transactions with financial policies and procedures
• Prepare all cash flow reports and data
• Maintain and manage monthly journals, update entries and maintain sales & purchase ledger
• Liaise with the director and key company personnel
Personal requirements
Proven work experience as a Senior Accounts Administrator
Experience with Sage 50/Xero
Working knowledge of tax procedures and filing
Advanced knowledge of MS office and Excel
Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
Solid data entry skills
Strong analytical abilities
Ability to work in a team as well as individually
A keen eye for detail, essential
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational and time management abilities
Strong decision-making skills and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle confidential information
Trustworthy, respectful, honest and flexible
Remuneration range and benefits available
Salary: negotiable, depending on experience £33,000 - £39,000 pro rota
Part time, hours to be discussed
25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays pro rota
